At UAC Foods, food safety isn’t something we think about once a year. It’s embedded in every step of our process, every product we make, and every decision we take. It’s part of our DNA. 

In line with the global theme for World Food Safety Day 2025, “Food Safety: Science in Action,” we dedicated a full week to celebrating the science, people, and practices that keep our food safe and our consumers confident. Across our Snacks, Dairies, and SWAN factories, we turned awareness into action with interactive activities that energized our teams and deepened our already-strong culture of safety. 

Our approach this year focused on engagement, creativity, and shared ownership. Activities were designed not just to inform, but to inspire. Employees participated in daily WhatsApp trivia challenges that refreshed their knowledge of hygiene standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and protocols, delivered in a fun, mobile-first format. From raps and poems to plays and visual art, our teams brought powerful food safety messages to life through a company-wide talent hunt. On the factory floors, “Win or Lose It” quiz booths turned safety training into a fun, competitive experience. And with live music, banners, and vibrant energy, factory parades brought safety advocacy to life in a truly memorable way. 

Each of these activities reinforced our belief that food safety is everyone’s responsibility and that learning works best when it’s active, inclusive, and enjoyable. 

One of the highlights of this year’s celebration was the visible participation from leadership. From our GM Corporate Affairs to senior managers in Quality Assurance, Operations, and Production, leaders didn’t just support the initiative, they showed up, joined the activities, and led by example. 

We closed the week on June 11 with a special company-wide event to reflect on our shared values and recognize outstanding contributions. It was more than a celebration. It was a moment to say thank you to the everyday champions of food safety, and to renew our collective commitment to excellence. 

World Food Safety Day 2025 gave us a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate, but more importantly, it reminded us of the work we do every day. At UAC Foods, we will continue to invest in science, empower our people, and lead with purpose. Food safety isn’t a one-day event. It’s what we do, every single day.
